Alice Sherrod I love colors and patterns and creating dynamic interactions among them. This is why I often combine copper, aluminum, silver, polymer clay, and collage techniques together in one piece of wearable art. When I taught landscape architecture in a university I emphasized design in my classes. Now I apply these to my own work. I believe that if a design has balance, visual rhythm or repetition, scale and proportion, and is visually unified, then it will be visually pleasing. I love what I do and think I have always been a designer. It is a special gift to now create my own art rather than teaching it to others. |
