Amy Collins Amy studied art at the University of Virginia. She continued his studies with a Master’s of Science Degree in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia. Amy has spent the majority of his professional career illustrating the intricacies of the human body, creating cellular landscapes, and explaining scientific concepts through pictures. She is a Certified Medical Illustrator and a Fellow of the Association of Medical Illustrators. After twenty-five years of creating such specialized artwork, Amy is revisiting one of her true joys – oil painting. The subject matter varies – from still lifes to landscapes to figurative works. Cows have become one of her favorite subjects. She especially enjoys the interplay of light and shadow and its effect on color. Amy finds that oil paints give a richness and depth that is difficult to achieve with other mediums. 205-532-0106 |
